You have questions, we have answers.

I have a pediatrician already.  Why would I use Home Run Pediatrics?

We all know how miserable it is to try to console a sick child in the midst of a packed waiting room; additionally, you (and any siblings you have to take with you) are exposed to potential illness from other patients.  Home Run Pediatrics brings the medical appointment right to your own home.  This prevents disruption to your child’s rest, allows for a familiar environment for your child to receive evaluation and treatment, and provides the convenience that busy parents deserve.

If I use Home Run Pediatrics, do I still need a regular pediatric provider?

Yes.  Home Run Pediatrics is designed to provide on demand medical treatment to get your ill child get well again, in an environment and manner that is best for your child and you.  But children also need to have regular well checks and immunizations, and we encourage you to have your children seen by their regular pediatric provider for those.  For continuity of care, Home Run Pediatrics can update the primary care provider with documentation reflecting the medical appointment we conducted in your child’s home.

What aged patients can be seen by Home Run Pediatrics?

Our Family Nurse Practitioner has no age limitations for the patients she serves, which allows her to evaluate, diagnose, and treat ALL members of your family!

What is a Convenience Fee?

The Convenience Fee is $25 and is different than a co-pay.  The valid credit card you provide is charged the $25 Convenience Fee at the time of booking.  This fee secures your appointment of choice and covers the time and travel expenses of our provider.  Only one Convenience Fee is charged per home visit, regardless of how many children in the home have appointments.

If I have insurance, why would I want to use Self-Pay Pricing?

All insurance companies and plans are different.  Contracted rates for our medical services are set by each insurance company, not by Home Run Pediatrics. If your family has a high deductible, and you find that the contracted rate with your insurance company is more than our Self-Pay pricing, it may be more cost-efficient for you to choose the Self-Pay pricing option.
